Celebrate the Wheat Harvest Festival at Sunflower Acres near Hugo on July 25 with food, farm animals, straw rides, games and contests.

Celebrate Eastern Colorado’s agricultural heritage at the Wheat Harvest Festival, hosted by Grains From the Plains at Sunflower Acres near Hugo, Colorado. This family-friendly farm event will take place on July 25 from noon to 5 p.m.

Experience life on a local family farm while celebrating the land, the community and the wheat harvest. Guests can enjoy a farm-to-table meal featuring ingredients from Sunflower Acres and other local farms. Meet friendly farm animals at the petting zoo, play lawn games, enter contests and compete for prizes.

Hourly straw rides will take visitors on a scenic trip through the fields, offering an up-close look at agriculture on Colorado’s Eastern Plains. Rides begin at the top of each hour.

The Wheat Harvest Festival is a wonderful opportunity to support a small local farm, learn more about where your food comes from and make lasting memories with the whole family.
