Colorado’s 150th Birthday Celebration in Limon
Celebrate Colorado’s 150th birthday at Gaskill Field in Limon on August 1 with family activities, vendors, skydivers and fireworks.
Celebrate Colorado’s 150th birthday in Limon with a full day of family-friendly activities, local vendors, food, skydivers and fireworks! The community celebration will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Gaskill Field in Limon, Colorado.
Hosted by the Limon Chamber of Commerce, this special Colorado 150 celebration honors the state’s history while looking forward to its future. Activities throughout the day will include a dunk tank, inflatable axe throwing, cornhole and other fun for the whole family.
Shop from local businesses, makers and organizations during the vendor fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Concessions will be available from 4–9 p.m.
At 4 p.m., watch the exciting Skydive Colorado landing at Gaskill Field. The celebration will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Exclusive Colorado 150 and Limon commemorative merchandise will also be available during the event. Bring your family, meet your neighbors and help celebrate 150 years of Colorado adventure, community and pride on the Eastern Plains.
