Guidelines for Requesting Funding provided by the Lincoln County Lodging Tax

The Tourism Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 5 pm in the Lincoln Health Board Room 111 6th street, Hugo, CO 80821, unless otherwise noted on the calendar on this site.

Lincoln County Colorado Tourism Funding Request Forms are required of groups seeking these funds. Forms, criteria, and instructions are provided on this page.

Entities requesting money must satisfy certain criteria:

Focus shall be to attract clientele from outside Lincoln County or enhance the experience of visitors.
Proposal shall be in writing with estimates or bids attached and shall include a brief description of the project and its impact to Lincoln County. Entity will provide five copies of proposal, one for each member of the board.
A presentation will be made in person at a Board meeting by the requesting person, business, or organization. Presentation will last no more than ten minutes. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month at 5:00 pm in the Lincoln Health Hospital Board Room at 111 6th st. Hugo, CO, 80821.
Allocations will be made on a case-by-case basis and not automatically.
Awards will be made at the discretion of the Board after careful consideration of all proposals in as timely a fashion as is possible.
Award needs to be used within one year of approval. If award is not used within that time frame, an extension can be applied for.
There shall be reimbursement for actual expenditures. Invoices will be approved by the Tourism Board and vouchers will be presented to the County Commissioners for payment.

Request Forms for Tourism Funding

The forms below are provided for use by organizations requesting funding through the Lincoln County Tourism Board / Lincoln County Lodging Tax. Select one of two options: The forms may be downloaded in PDF format and printed or completed online (preferred). In either case, you must complete and submit your form when funding is initially requested.”

Please follow the instructions on each form- bids, proposals, invoices, budgets, and photos may be attached directly to online form submissions.

Online forms are preferred and will provide the Tourism Board with information to consider your request in advance of the next official Tourism Board Meeting. Post Event/Project Form

The Post Event or Project Questionnaire is mandatory and provided for use by organizations as an outline when reporting the results or effectiveness of the funded event or project. It can be downloaded as a .pdf and filled out or the form can be submitted online (preferred) and should be presented to the Tourism Board following the actual event or at the completion of the funded project, including pictures of the event or before and after photos of the project.”
