
2025 Limon Homecoming – Parade, BBQ & Badgers Football
oin us in Limon, Colorado for Homecoming 2025 on Saturday, September 20. Festivities kick off with the Lincoln Health Pancake Breakfast (8–10 a.m.) at the Hub City Senior Center, 220 E Ave, followed by the Homecoming Parade at 10:00 a.m. traveling down E Avenue into downtown. This year’s theme is “Blast From the Past.” After the parade, enjoy the Community & Alumni BBQ Lunch (11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.) at the high school cafeteria—pulled-pork sandwiches, sides, brownies, and cold drinks.
Athletics pack the weekend: Volleyball vs. Deer Trail on Thursday, Sept 18, 5:00 p.m. (Christensen-Newsom Activities Building); Softball vs. Burlington on Friday, Sept 19, 3:00 p.m. (Limon Softball Complex); and the centerpiece Badgers Football vs. Bennett on Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at Gaskill Field. Traditions include the Friday night bonfire at dusk (north of Gaskill Field on G Avenue, after the snake dance), Class of 2028 parents’ $4 breakfast burritos along the parade lineup/route, school tours 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Saturday, and the Limon Heritage Museum open 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. after the parade.
Bring the family and celebrate the Badgers, local history, and small-town pride all weekend long.
